Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Railway Corporation (USA), which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. When you visit the site, the host automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested page and your browser type in request logs. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The host stores these logs for up to 90 days and then deletes them automatically; we only access them to troubleshoot or to defend against attacks.

Requests to trais.org (without “www”) are redirected to www.trais.org by our domain registrar, GoDaddy Operating Company, LLC (USA), which processes the same technical data for this purpose.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4(1) BayDSG. Data may be processed in the United States; such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Apart from this, we do not keep access logs.

Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process the data you provide only to handle your request and delete it once it is no longer needed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4(1) BayDSG.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection (BayLfD).
